Private Pilot License

Designed for flying enthusiasts, the Private Pilot’s License (PPL) is an entry-level course that equips you with foundation skills to confidently pilot a single piston-engine aircraft.

Training Program Outline:

Ground School (100 Hours)

Theoretical Knowledge Training – Phase 1 (100 Hours)

  • Air Law
  • Aircraft General Knowledge
  • General Navigation
  • Meteorology
  • Human Performance and Limitations
  • Operation Procedure
  • Principles of Flight

Flying Training (45 Hours)

  • Single Engine Type Tech (10 Hours)
  •  Flying Training (Single Engine) – Phase 1: PPL Level (45 Hours)

Course Requirements

  • Minimum age of 17

  • Fluent in the English Language

  • Completion of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or “O” level equivalent for prospective candidates outside Malaysia

  • Completion of a Class II medical examination by a CAAM-approved medical practitioner (Prospective candidates are advised to contact the CAAM for an updated list of medical practitioners-please; refer to our FAQs).
