Programme FAQ

Questions before you apply.

What aircraft support this programme?

LLFA publishes the Robinson R44 and AS355 Twin Squirrel as programme platforms, with allocation based on training phase and operations.

Does Frozen ATPL(H) mean I immediately receive an ATPL?

No. “Frozen” refers to completion of the relevant theoretical knowledge while further experience and regulatory requirements remain before a full ATPL can be issued.

Does LLFA provide student accommodation?

Yes. Student accommodation is available as part of LLFA’s brand-new campus experience. Room type, location, occupancy, availability and current terms should be confirmed with Admissions for your intake.

Where is the training conducted?

LLFA operates from Sultan Azlan Shah Airport in Ipoh, Perak. Admissions will confirm the reporting instructions for your programme and intake.

Are the published duration and hours guaranteed?

No. Published durations and hours describe the current programme structure or an indicative pathway. Progress, examinations, weather, aircraft serviceability, authority requirements and scheduling can affect completion time.

How do I confirm my eligibility?

Contact Admissions with your age, academic qualifications, nationality, medical status and any existing licence or logbook details. LLFA will advise which documents are needed for a formal review.
