COURSE STRUCTURE

What the training covers.

The sequence connects theoretical understanding, instructor briefing, practical application and structured assessment.

Ground school

Core helicopter theory, flight safety and preparation for the applicable CAAM examinations.

Basic handling

Checks, start-up, hovering, take-offs, landings and basic manoeuvres.

Advanced manoeuvres

Quick stops, sideward flight, autorotation, confined-area work and emergency procedures.

Navigation and cross-country

Route planning, diversions, radio work and VFR cross-country operations.

Solo and final check

Supervised solo flying, cross-country requirements and final skill-test preparation.
