Layang Layang Flying Academy’s International Airline Career Pilot Program takes you from zero to a fully qualified Commercial Pilot with Instrument Rating and Frozen ATPL under CAAM’s approved syllabus.
The course covers everything from first solo to twin-engine and instrument operations, with
integrated ATPL theory and Advanced UPRT — preparing you for immediate airline readiness upon
graduation.

Phase 1: Ground School (850 Hours)
Full Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia (CAAM) -approved theoretical instruction with ATPL-level integration.

Phase 2: Flying Phase (200 Hours)
A structured and progressive flying sequence designed to build full competence and confidence across all flight conditions.
1. Single-Engine Training – 135 Hours (Cessna 172)
Covers the fundamentals of flight handling, circuit work, visual navigation (VFR), cross-country navigation, and night flying. This stage forms the foundation of professional airmanship and aircraft control.

2. Simulator Training – 30 Hours (FNPT II)
Focuses on instrument flying, IFR procedures, radio navigation, and emergency management in a controlled training environment. Students develop precision, situational awareness, and procedural discipline before transitioning to complex aircraft.

3. Multi-Engine Training – 25 Hours (Piper PA-34 Seneca)
Introduces twin-engine systems, asymmetric flight techniques, performance management, and advanced operations required for multi-engine certification.

4. Instrument Proficiency Consolidation – 10 Hours (Multi-Engine Simulator)
Sharpens instrument-based decision-making, IFR check-ride preparation, and crew coordination under simulated flight conditions.

5. Advanced UPRT – 4 Hours (Cessna 172 & GameBird GB-1)
Essential Upset Prevention and Recovery Training conducted on Layang Layang’s on Cessna 172 & GameBird GB-1,the only aircraft of its kind in Southeast Asia. Cadets learn to recognise and recover from unusual attitudes, avoid aerodynamic stalls and spins, and manage the physiological and psychological factors associated with in-flight upsets.

Create CAAM eCLIPSE Account
​Register at https://eclipse.caam.gov.my and complete the Student Pilot Application Form. Upload your ID, SPM/O-Level results, and photo.

Wait for CAAM Approval
CAAM will review your submission and issue a digital e-Approval. LLFA can assist if you need help with the portal.

Receive LLFA Letter of Offer
Once approved, LLFA issues your official Letter of Offer (LoO) and payment structure. A RM 20,000 booking fee secures your seat.

Complete Class 1 Medical
Book a CAAM-approved DAME medical. The result will sync directly into your eCLIPSE profile.

Visa (International Students)
LLFA provides the JTKSM support letter and assists in your Professional Visit Pass (PVP) application.

Orientation & Commencement
After all documents are cleared and uploaded, you’ll receive your timetable, iPad courseware, and eCLIPSE login access for training and exams.
Pre-requisites
The Professional Pilot Licence Program (CPL/IR + ATPL Frozen) is an intensive training program. Before you enroll, you must:
