Professional UPRT Training Programs

Layang Layang Flying Academy (LLFA) conducts Upset Prevention & Recovery Training (UPRT) in accordance with CAAM CAD 1 – PEL and ICAO Annex 1 requirements, using real aircraft to teach practical recovery from unusual attitudes and flight upsets.

Training is performed with the GameBird GB1, an aerobatic-certified aircraft capable of demonstrating full upset conditions in a controlled environment. Each flight develops awareness, recovery discipline, and energy management skills under direct instructor supervision.

UPRT is a mandatory component for pilots progressing toward the Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL/IR) or Frozen ATPL, and is also open to licensed pilots seeking additional proficiency in advanced aircraft handling and safety

Advanced UPRT provides pilots with the knowledge and hands-on skill to recognise, prevent, and recover from in-flight upsets.
Conducted under CAAM-approved syllabus using the GameBird GB1 and Cessna 172, the course meets ICAO and airline-entry standards for advanced airmanship and safety-focused flight handling.
