The Private Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) program introduces aspiring aviators to the fundamentals of flight. You’ll learn to operate light aircraft safely and confidently under Visual Flight Rules (VFR) while developing essential airmanship, communication, and navigation skills. Upon completion, you’ll be certified to fly as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on single-engine aircraft for non-commercial purposes

Training Structure
Phase 1: Ground School (100 Hours)
Theoretical instruction covering aviation fundamentals and flight safety knowledge in preparation for CAAM examinations.

Phase 2: Flying Phase (45 Hours)
Train through a structured and confidence in all flight conditions.

1. Basic Handling – 10 Hours (Cessna 172 Skyhawk)
Learn the essentials of flight control, take-off, climbing, turning, and landing. This phase develops coordination and airmanship fundamentals.

2. Circuit Training – 15 Hours (Cessna 172 Skyhawk)
Focuses on instrument flying, IFR procedures, radio navigation, and emergency management in a controlled training environment. Students develop precision, situational awareness, and procedural discipline before transitioning to complex aircraft.​

3. Navigation & Cross-Country– 15 Hours (Cessna 172 Skyhawk)
Conduct supervised navigation flights across multiple destinations. Includes map reading, position reporting, and radio communication with ATC.tification.

4. Solo & Final Check – 5 Hours (Cessna 172 Skyhawk)
Complete supervised solo flights and cross-country exercises before the final skills test with a designated flight examiner.​

Create CAAM eCLIPSE Account
​Register at https://eclipse.caam.gov.my and complete the Student Pilot Application Form. Upload your ID, SPM/O-Level results, and photo.

Wait for CAAM Approval
CAAM will review your submission and issue a digital e-Approval. LLFA can assist if you need help with the portal.

Receive LLFA Letter of Offer
Once approved, LLFA issues your official Letter of Offer (LoO) and payment structure. A RM 20,000 booking fee secures your seat.

Complete Class 1 Medical
Book a CAAM-approved DAME medical. The result will sync directly into your eCLIPSE profile.

Visa (International Students)
LLFA provides the JTKSM support letter and assists in your Professional Visit Pass (PVP) application.

Orientation & Commencement
After all documents are cleared and uploaded, you’ll receive your timetable, iPad courseware, and eCLIPSE login access for training and exams.
Pre-requisites
The Private Pilot Licence Program (PPL) is an intensive training program. Before you enroll, you must:

17 years old upon starting flying phase training

Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent, with a basic understanding of mathematics and physics.

Pass CAAM Class 2 Medical

Proficient in English

CAAM eCLIPSE student approval
-
Malaysian or international passport holder
