Training Exercises Include:

  • Stall and spin demonstration techniques

  • Spiral dive recovery instruction

  • Nose-high / nose-low training demonstrations

  • Startle effect coaching and management

  • Instructor decision-making under simulated LOC-I conditions

1. (3 hrs) – Cessna 172 Skyhawk

Baseline and instructional handling phase focusing on demonstration pacing, control coordination, and communication techniques in a stable trainer environment.

2. (5 hrs) – GameBird GB-1

Advanced instructor development phase using a high-performance aerobatic aircraft for exposure to full-envelope recovery, spin, and spiral- dive demonstrations.

Training Components:

  • Baseline Assessment Flight — Evaluates each instructor candidate’s existing handling, precision, and situational awareness prior to formal training.

  • Dual Demonstration Flights (Cessna 172 & GameBird GB-1) — Conducted with an examiner to develop demonstration pacing, corrective feedback, and energy management under dual-control environments.

  • Summative Evaluation Flights — Final assessment flights where the candidate conducts full instructional sequences — briefing, demonstration, recovery, and debrief — under examiner observation.
